The Non-scandal

It'd be nice to write about how Twitter just pisses me off. It seems like it honestly cannot be used to really have any sort of discussions about anything.

But in all honesty, I should just stop Tweeting. It's not as if my life will be drastically less happy without it. It won't be. It is a nice place to meet people. I can and will meet people in other ways.

As an aside, I really don't know what it means to bog off. *shrug*

This whole Chris Christie thing is also just being blown out of proportion. Where am I coming up with this?

Maddow is not earning her salary here, either.

1. I'm supposed to just assume the way that Maddow did that because Chrisitie (who isn't known for being sweet or for sugar coating anything) called State Senate democrats 'animals' one day, that the ensuing traffic problems ordered the next day in a district controlled by one of those 'animals' was targetting?
You're going to have to give me more than that.

2. Why would he target the constituents, not the state senators themselves?

3. Maddow's conclusion that he must've known what was happening because his underlings wouldn't have the motivation to do it alone is bullshit. Underlings live for the day when they can screw people over, because they have no lives and have sacrificed all that is holy to get to be underlings, which automatically makes them bitter and unfulfilled.

4. I mean, have you seen the way these people look IRL?

David Wildstein, who looks like he's waiting at a meeting for the cookies to arrive.

Holy shit, Bridget Anne Kelly. Ok...Maybe that was a bad picture.

Nope.

The fact that this was the only picture I could find online of Mike Drewniak...well, you get the idea. These people are nobodies.

Yeah. A bunch of sad, sad assholes. I mean you shouldn't be mean just because you're ugly, though. Not cool.

4.2. Most people who go into the cutthroat, gladiator style arena of state politics do it for reasons other than civic duty. In fact, most of them are fucking assholes who at least in some part want to get back at someone, somewhere. Even those who don't go into it to stick it to people develop a sense of it after they are in a position. Remember Helen Santos from the West Wing, sticking it mentally to some broad who took to douchebag she wanted to go with to prom and who beat her out of the final swim team slot in high school? See, even nice white ladies get the vindictive bug.

5. People in politics get back at the other team every single God damned day. Should we be outraged? I suppose, but then given how often it happens, we'd never get anything else done. The only reason anyone cares is that it happened to inconvenience them, as opposed to the politicians themselves who somehow screwed someone over.

6. That's all it was, by the way. We can complain all day, with metric tons of flaming hot self-righteousness about politics and their corrupt practices, but at the end of the day, traffic jams are inconvenient. No one died. No money was stolen. No sex was traded for watered-down favors. We're not even sure laws were broken.  Yet somehow, this is scandalous.

OMG traffic in New York sucks.

7. The 91-year old woman who it took emergency responders 7 minutes to get to who died? Yeah. She was 91. There's no evidence that the delay contributed to her death. But do you know what evidence there is? She was 91. There's your cause of death. She was already well older than she was ever expected to live, and we all fucking die eventually. My left leg to live to be 91.

My next piece will be on the Mother Jones article that somehow proves Chris Christie is a bully. Hint: it doesn't.

My point is this: it's not 2016 yet, and if Christie is smart (I happen to think he is), he will not run anyway. Who wants to be in the way of the Clinton train when that shit hits the tracks?
